One fashion shoot in Harper’s Bazaar that gives a side ways nod to the Leather trend currently taking the world by storm is “On the run”. This shoot is primarily concerned with elegant luggage and a particularly sexy Mercedes.
“Take off with this season’s most luxe luggage: sharp cases … worn with sexy leather skirts and fierce heels to show the world you’re ready for anything.”
I have been keeping an eye out for luggage for a couple of Charity Shop trips now, but it seems to be quite hard to come by. The poor boy tending the till in Caring and Sharing, Inverness will have been very confused at the excited girl fawning over the two leather cases just inside the door:
As I said before, a key piece in this shoot is the leather clothing and I have been finding it all over the place! There’s no need to splurge on designer, or try and scrimp on the high street. You can find better, for less in charity shops:
This suit takes a cursory glance towards the leather trend with genuine leather side panels. Not in the most flattering cut, however a tailor would soon sort that out, and for a genuine leather item, the extra cost to get it to the perfect fit, rather than settling for second best fit in pleather from the high street is worth it.
If you were going to spend £50 on a high street pleather option, as leather isn’t within everyone’s budget, then please spend some time in the charity shop and find a highstreet option for under £10:
I found a great handbag also which has a very slight look of the Fendi item in the shape of it at least:
This gorgeous handbag is a vintage bag made from real leather, the label says inside “Made in Norwich” which gives it a real British charm, and for that reason, look out for it’s reappearance in later posts.
The piece de resistance is a gorgeous pair of Topshop peep toes:
These match this leather trend perfectly. Whether over skinny jeans, with a leather mini or to toughen up a girly dress, these are the perfect leather accessory.
