Golden girl!

No, I’m not talking about Victoria Pendleton, sadly, as she is currently on my list of massive girl crushes. I am talking about Gold dresses not gold medals. The opening ceremony provided the perfect back drop for a selection of ‘Golden Wonders’. That is, British models wearing British golden designs.

This months Vogue does give a passing glance to this winning golden streak:

Golden girl.

Britain’s success at London 2012 means that gold is going to be the best colour to be seen in this season. But there’s nothing new about gold. Just as it adorned the Pharaoh’s of Egypt all those millennia ago, it has remained an obsession of the human race, a sign of excellence. This means that you can almost always find something gold in every season’s collection.
