Occasionally I read a magazine and an image just catches my eye. This is one such image. It caught my attention because I had previously spied a cute dress in a charity shop which bears an uncanny resemblance to the style of this clothing:
Now obviously, this is advertising Merino wool as well as Dolce and Gabbana, and if you want my thoughts on wool you can get them from my Wool Week post here. Wool Week was celebrated by Harrods having a huge ball of wool hoisted up outside their store which was them illuminated at night, quite a spectacle I can assume from the photo’s on twitter!
My item is concerned more with the decadent gold detailing as oppose to the fabric:
This baroque style Lipsy dress is going to be perfect for someone as an item for their Christmas do at work, or any festive party for that matter. The fabric is not flimsy, so on a practical level should add some warmth despite it’s revealing cut, and as you can see, the pattern really hits home and matches the baroque, opulent feel of the image above from October’s Vogue.
